The Matlab code

This page gives access to all code and data necessary to install the OMP analysis package.

Data files in ASCII format

All Matlab routines and data files can be downloaded in compressed form. Select the appropriate format for your machine:

Macintosh

binary: omp2.sit

compressed: omp2.zip

Unix

compressed: omp2.tar.gz

Downloading should automatically produce the data files in Matlab format (.mat files). Should you have problems with the data files, you can copy and paste them in ASCII format from the listing below. To produce the required data files, proceed as follows:

File testdata.mat
- Save the first set of ASCII data as holddata in a directory included in the Matlab path;
- Start Matlab and in the command window type the command load holddata -ascii, this will produce a matrix holddata in your Matlab workspace;
- Transfer each column of holddata to the appropriate variable through the statements

- when all variables have been transferred type the command
  save testdata lat long press temp sal ptemp pdens oxy ph ni
File testwght.mat
- Save the second set of ASCII data as holddata in a directory included in the Matlab path;
- Start Matlab and in the command window type the command load holddata -ascii, this will produce a matrix holddata in your Matlab workspace;
- Transfer the first eight rows of holddata to the variable Wx and the last row to the variable ratio through the statements
